OfficeMax pens the way for classroom ‘write’ of passage

To help celebrate this momentous occasion, office and stationery supplier OfficeMax has once again teamed up with Colour Your Classroom to offer primary school children across New Zealand commemorative pen licence packs.

Every time a child passes the milestone, the OfficeMax, Paper Mate and Sharpie teams send out a special congratulatory pack, which includes a Paper Mate Inkjoy 100 pen, and a pen licence that comes shaped like a driver licence.

OfficeMax New Zealand’s National Manager of Government & Education Blair Horsfall says the age-old right of passage deserves to be properly celebrated and the Colour Your Classroom pen licence tool is a great way to increase kids’ excitement.

“We all remember the proud moment we began writing with pen in school, and it’s important we give our kids a proper ceremony to celebrate,” he said.

“With Colour Your Classroom it’s simple – teachers just need to jump online and register their students so they can receive their pen licence.”

Children across New Zealand also have the chance to win an iPad Mini 2 Wi-Fi for their school courtesy of OfficeMax through the Colour Your Classroom colouring competition running throughout Term 2.

There are three $100 Sharpie prize packs alongside the iPad Mini to be won, with the winners being selected based on the most colourful design. Winning students will also receive a $50 Sharpie prize pack for themselves.

OfficeMax encourages teachers to tell their students about the competition and visit the Colour Your Classroom website for other educational resources including free downloadable lesson plans.

Entries can also be mailed to Sharpie Colour Your Classroom Competition, P.O. Box 86046, Mangere East, Auckland 2158.

The Colour Your Classroom colouring competition ends July 8, 2016.
