Helping communities in need

Supporting an equal, inclusive community
Our Max e-Grants programme helps kids feel included by providing discreet financial assistance with school activities, events, stationery, books and uniforms, so they are never left out. We've donated more than $1.2 million, helping over 15,967 children since 2011.
For kids going through tough times, we sponsor '0800 What's Up' a helpline for our tamariki and rangatahi. This free phone counselling helpline and web-chat service ensures kids can share their problems with trained counsellors.
Investing for the future
Our mission is to deliver the best value and service possible, and we don't say that lightly. We’ve invested $5 million in our distribution centres (DCs) to future-proof our operations and help play our part in speeding up New Zealand’s transition to a low carbon future.
Over recent years our Auckland DC has undergone a massive transformation. This includes the installation of 798 solar panels now providing sustainable energy efficiency across the site. We’ve also invested $1 million into two innovative, automated ‘box making’ and lid applicator machines that create boxes to fit the size of your order, specifically designed to minimise packaging and waste.
Our Christchurch-based DC has also moved to a purpose-built warehouse in the IPORT Business Park which is fast becoming a major transport hub for the South Island. This enables us to keep transportation movements and our carbon footprint to a minimum.
We’ve invested in cardboard shredders that recycle cardboard onsite, converting it into void fill to protect fragile goods as opposed to plastic pillows. All gas-powered equipment has been retired from our fleet and we now have 100% electric machinery.
