We believe links between home and their early childhood education programmes are important so we’d like to play our part with these three easy-to-follow craft ideas this Father’s Day.
#1 Dad Trophy
Products required:
Plastic Cups
Pom Poms
Pipecleaners
Washi Tape
Foam Shapes
Card
Glitter
Glue
Steps to follow:
- Glue two plastic cups together by the base
- Use coloured card to cut out two 'C' shapes
- Stick the two 'C' shapes to the top cup to create handles
- Use coloured card to cut out strips and stick on to spell '#1'
- Decorate the cups with glitter, pipecleaners, washi tape etc
- Present the trophy to your Dad this Father's Day!
Superhero Mask
Products required:
Card
Paint
Confetti Foil
Felt Tips
Elastic
Glue
Steps to follow:
- Cut card into a mask shape (don't forget the eye holes!)
- Colour in with felt tips and decorate with paint and confetti
- Make two holes on the left and right outer edges of the mask
- Cut a piece of elastic (make sure it's big enough to fit around Dad's head!) and tie each end through the two holes
- Make your Dad a superhero!
#1 Dad Medal
Products required:
Modelling Clay
Modelling Tools
Ribbon
Metallic Paint
Steps to follow:
- Roll modelling clay into a ball
- Flatten clay out to form a circle
- Create a hole for the ribbon to be threaded through
- Use the modelling tools to create a custom design
- Wait for clay to dry (see packet instructions)
- Paint with metallic paint
- Thread ribbon through and tie at desired length
Family Photo Frame
Products required:
Iceblock Sticks
Paint
Pom Poms
Card
Glitter
Glue
Steps to follow:
- Glue iceblock sticks together to create a frame
- Paint and decorate your frame with pom poms and glitter
- Stick your chosen photo onto a piece of card. If there is excess card around the photo, cut the card to match the size of the frame
- Stick your card (with photo now attached) onto the back of the frame
- You now have the perfect gift for Father's Day!
Father's Day Tie
Products required:
Cartridge Paper
Glue
Spangles
Pom Poms
Ribbon
Metallic Paint
Steps to follow:
- Fold piece of cartridge paper in half
- Cut out your tie shape (ensuring the fold is at the neck end of the tie)
- Glue both halves of the tie together (do not glue the neck end – this is where the ribbon will be threaded through)
- Decorate with spangles, pom poms and metallic paint
- Thread ribbon through and tie at desired length

Steps to follow:
- Glue joggle eyes onto pop stick
- Use fabric squares to create a custom outfit of your choice
- Decorate with metallic paint
