Hardie Fasteners are 100% New Zealand-owned and operated.

This busy business has been providing Kiwi builders, manufacturers, engineers, and construction companies with fasteners, adhesives, tools, and more for over 20 years.

With high demand and the desire to deliver promptly, this business has little time to worry about day-to-day issues like keeping their printer ink stocked. The Challenge

Functioning printers are essential to Hardie Fastener's day-to-day business operations. Before discovering Managed Print Services, Joseph says, they would hold too much stock to avoid running out. Of course, it was "one of those things" that was then forgotten about and inevitably would run out.

Someone would then have to jump in the car to rush out for more to tide them over.

This resulted in two problems:

    Trying to track down stock wasted staff time
  2. Wasted storage:
    Storing loads of printer consumables took up a lot of space in the office

Joseph says the team at Hardie Fasteners didn't know about Managed Print Services until an OfficeMax rep alerted them to it. With this service, items such as ink and toner are ordered automatically when levels are low – saving the team from having to remember or stock extra products in the office. The service was "super easy" to set up.
